Smok Al85 Battery Cap Gets Hot

Weird thing is if my thumb catches it i get a super quick hot burn similar to hitting the edge of a fry pan.

I ve used the factory supplied battery an 18650 and an awt imr 18650 3 7v 3kmah rated up to 50a battery. When i m vaping due to the size of my hand and the size of the al85 my index finger will sometimes rest on the side of the battery cap. Battery cap getting hot i just got the smok al85 kit with the baby beast tank less than 2 months ago. I had just started using the 4 ohm coils and am running it at 60w 5 2v at 13 2 amps.

If i press on the top of the battery cap i can get a pull off it for a while. I m using a q4 atomizer. I ve not had a mod with a battery cap like this previous was an evic 2 so i m not sure is this supposed to happen. Iv changed the battery and changed the atomizer.

When i hit it more than 3 times it gets extremely hot to the point where i can t even touch it. Smok al85 battery cap getting super hot. However when firing the cap gets extremely hot and i end up burning my finger or at least come close to it. Was working fine but recently the battery metal cap is getting extremely hot to the point where it burns my finger.

I own an al85 and i ve had it for a few months and recently i ve come across an issue while firing. I got a smok al86 about six months ago. In my experience you get about half the battery life on the alien 220w which makes sense since this one is powered by a single 18650 battery. Al85 battery cap getting hot when firing.

Any help would be appreciated. It is powered by a 700mah built in battery with max 25w output and comes standard with two dual coil 0 8ω mtl pods designed to deliver the best flavor for the mtl vaping style. Too hot warning i. For example i m using tobeco 5 coil at 35w and 8 amps according to the device.

Please take out the batteries if it s replaceable and let it cool for 15 mins. I have a smok al85 with mini beast tank. In addition nfix allows you to access all basic vaping data through a 0 69 inch oled screen. When you vape for a long time eg chain vapes more than 10puffs with high wattage it would give a too hot warning to protect the device itself.

I ve checked my batteries and all of the wraps still look fine no nicks or exposed metal where it shouldn t be etc but whenever i fire it the battery cap gets hot enough to burn.
